Position Overview

The District Data Officer will be responsible for collecting, verifying, managing, and analyzing urban and socio-economic data from assigned districts. This position supports the implementation of urban development projects, surveys, and policy formulation by providing accurate and timely information.

You will work closely with local administrations, survey teams, and data management units to ensure transparent and reliable data collection that drives informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys and data collection activities across assigned districts.
  • Input, clean, and validate data using digital tools or mobile applications.
  • Maintain data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting.
  • Prepare data summaries, charts, and analytical reports for urban projects.
  • Coordinate with local government officials and field teams for project-related tasks.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to data discrepancies or missing information.
  • Support research and urban planning teams through reliable data insights.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by project supervisors.

Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of education (Intermediate or equivalent) from a recognized board or institution.
  • Fresh candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates having field survey or data collection experience will be preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, data entry tools, and online reporting software will be an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Employment Type:

  • Contract-Based (Project duration as specified by The Urban Unit).
