Punjab Forest Department GIS Lab Jobs 2026 – 8 Government Posts | Apply Online

The GIS Manager, GIS Lab, Punjab Forest Department, Lahore has announced the recruitment of staff under the prestigious Development Project titled "GIS-Based Protection Regime and Establishment of Digital Communication Cell in Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department." This is a rare opportunity for qualified professionals across Punjab to join a technology-driven government initiative aimed at modernizing Pakistan's natural resource management through geospatial and digital tools.

A total of 8 posts are open for recruitment on a contractual basis throughout the project period, with placement anywhere in Punjab. Applications are invited from eligible candidates across all districts of the province.

Available Posts, Qualifications & Salaries

1. Animator (PPS-8) — PKR 350,000/month

Age: 28–35 The most senior technical role in this advertisement. Candidates must hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree (16 years) in Fine Arts, Film & TV, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university with 7 years of experience. Proven expertise in industry-standard animation software including Adobe Animate, After Effects, Maya, or similar tools is essential. The candidate must demonstrate strong artistic skills — drawing, modelling, storytelling — with hands-on experience in 2D and 3D animation projects and motion graphics.

2. Assistant Director Geospatial (PPS-7) — PKR 157,500/month

Age: 23–30 Applicants must possess 16 years of education (Second Division) in Space Science, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geo-Informatics, or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university. A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in Geographic Information System applications — including use in forestry or natural resource management — is required.

3. Drone Operator (PPS-5) — PKR 70,000/month

Age: 22–28 A Bachelor's degree (Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university is required, along with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in piloting drones for high-quality aerial photography and natural resource imagery. The candidate must be able to plan and execute drone flights including route mapping and camera settings. Proficiency in drone maintenance, calibration, and data processing is essential.

4. GIS Assistant (PPS-5) — PKR 70,000/month

Age: 22–28 Requires a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geo-Informatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, or Geomatics from an HEC-recognized institution. This role supports the core GIS operations of the lab with practical field and digital mapping responsibilities.

5. Surveyor (PPS-3) — PKR 43,750/month

Age: 20–25 Candidates must have a Matric-level Secondary School Certificate (Second Division) from a recognized board, supplemented by a Diploma of Surveying from a recognized institution. This hands-on field role is critical to the project's ground-truthing and spatial data collection activities.

6. Driver (PPS-3) — PKR 43,750/month

Age: 25–35 Applicants must hold a Middle School Certificate, a valid Light Transport Vehicle Driving License, and at least 5 years of light transport vehicle driving experience. This is a support-level position essential for field operations.

7. Lab Attendant (PPS-1) — PKR 35,000/month

Age: 18–25 Minimum requirement is being Literate. This entry-level position supports the day-to-day functioning of the GIS Lab.

8. Mali (PPS-1) — PKR 35,000/month

Age: 18–25 Candidates must hold a Primary School Certificate and have at least 2 years of experience in nursery or gardening work. This role supports the green infrastructure activities of the department.

Key Conditions

Recruitment is purely contractual. In-service government employees must obtain NOC/DPC from their relevant department before applying. Candidates from only Punjab domicile are eligible. For multiple posts, separate applications must be submitted. No TA/DA is admissible for test or interview. The department reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel posts without prior notice.

Age relaxation of 5 years for males and 8 years for females is applicable as per Government of Punjab / S&GAD notification dated 08-08-2016.
